Garrett College McHenry campus offices are open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

The wearing of CDC-recommended face masks or face coverings is optional, except for individuals required to wear as part of the isolation or quarantine guidelines.

Employees and students are not required to be vaccinated at this time but are strongly encouraged to do so.

Substance Abuse Education, Policy, and Resources

In compliance with the Federal Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988; the Federal Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act of 1989: the Maryland Drug and Alcohol Abuse Control Plan; the Maryland Higher Education Commissioner's policies of June 27, 1990; and the Start Talking Maryland Act of 2017, Garrett College is dedicated in spirit and in compliance with the law to provide an alcohol, tobacco, and drug-free environment.

The College recognizes substance abuse as an illness and a major health problem. The College also recognizes substance abuse as a potential safety and security problem. Students and employees needing help in dealing with such problems are encouraged to use community or campus assistance programs.
